Since we are Pilates devotees, we can also incorporate Pilates into our work lives if we sit at a desk for long periods of time. Some tips are:
- Chair height should be such that your knees are 90 degrees
- Your eyes should be level at your computer screen
- Engage your core and don't slump your shoulders
- Try switching your chair out for a large exercise ball and engage your core for balance
- Keep your wrists straight when your type
- Set a timer to go off every half hour and walk over to take a water break
- Use a speaker phone instead of tilting your head into a phone
- Take time to breath deeply while sitting
- Remember your beautiful pilates posture and keep it going outside of class!
